If you haven’t seen the Dancing Pony who is dancing his way around YouTube and Facebook pages everywhere – well take one minute and ten seconds to sit down and watch it – and get ready to smile. It’s silly (and I’m not even sure what it is advertising) – but nothing beats a silly dancing pony! I am a big fan of Shetland Ponies – and this dancing Shetland Pony takes it to an all new level

If you find yourself reluctant to leave the barn because your horse’s spooking is making rides unpleasant, learning how best to handle the situation can make rides more enjoyable for both of you. Evaluate Before you chalk up a horse’s spookiness or re-activeness to a training or behavior issue, eliminate the possibility of it being a physical issue

Darren Chiacchia continuing a Steady Recovery from Meningitis

Darren Chiacchia is continuing his steady recovery from the near-fatal fungal meningitis he contracted last October by winning three blue ribbons at the White Fences Dressage Show in Wellington, FL on February 23 and 24. Now head trainer for The YARD Sport Horse Center, also in Wellington, he is training a solid group of both young and advanced eventing, dressage, and show jumping horses. Darren and Ballzauber

Show Ring Success and Thoroughbred Incentive Programs Ignite Interest in Ex-Racehorses Lodi, OH (February 26, 2013) – CANTER Chapters are celebrating a milestone year for transitioning ex-racehorses into second careers through their free online sales listings. The 10 CANTER Chapters online sales websites served 596 trainers at 30 racetracks nationally in 2012 and successfully transitioned 1,015 racehorses nearing the end of their racing careers. “Our horses try hard for us on the racetrack so our loyalty to them goes beyond their race careers,” noted Bob and Marcia Wolfe, trainers at Penn National Race Course, Grantville, PA
