Second Annual Atlanta Summerfest Just a Few Weeks Away

July 24th, 2012~ Aiken, SC based Equus Events is gearing up for it’s second annual Atlanta Summerfest Show series taking place August 16th-19th and 23rd-26th at beautiful Chattahoochee Hills (Bouckaert Farms) in Fairburn, GA. Well known in the eventing world, Chatt Hills will host the 2012 USEA American Eventing Championships in September and is owned by eventer Carl Bouckaert who will be competing for Belgium on the Equestrian 3 day event team at the 2012 London Olympic Games. The facility boast an over 8000 acre equestrian paradise filled with established pastures, lakes, and woodlands with ample room to ride all located along the Chattahoochee River

Federico Sztyrle Wins Welcome Stake and Cleveland Grand Prix

Technically demanding course design / Alfano switches it up with Miss Lucy MORELAND HILLS, Ohio – July 16, 2012 – Federico Sztyrle now considers the Chagrin Valley Hunter Jumper Classic a lucky show. His first time here in the Chagrin Valley, Sztyrle and Crossfire 10 won both the $10,000 Welcome Stake and the $30,000 Cleveland Grand Prix during Week I of the Classic. The crowd watches intently as Federico Sztyrle and Crossfire 10 fly around the course on their way to victory during the Cleveland Grand Prix on July 15, 2012 at the Chagrin Valley Hunter Jumper Classic.

Open to riders between 14 and 21 years, the busy annual event embraces the three Olympic disciplines of Jumping, Dressage and Eventing along with the FEI World Equestrian Games™ disciplines of Reining and Endurance.

Shawn Casady and Zubantos Earn Individual Junior Show Jumping Silver Medal at NAJYRC

Lexington, KY – July 23, 2012 - Rising junior talent Shawn Casady and Elm Rock LLC’s Zubantos were the winners of the Individual Junior Show Jumping Silver Medal during the 2012 Adequan/FEI North American Junior & Young Rider Championships presented by Gotham North (NAJYRC). After earning just four faults over the first five rounds of the competition, they advanced to the jump-off where another clear round over the technical track was good enough to claim the Individual Silver Medal. Shawn Casady and Zubantos won the Individual Junior Show Jumping Silver Medal at the 2012 Adequan/FEI North American Junior & Young Rider Championships presented by Gotham North (NAJYRC).

Young Riders Zone 4

From Traverse City, we traveled to Kentucky to represent Zone 4 in the 2012 North American Junior and Young Riders Championships (NAJYRC). If you are not familiar with this event, it is basically the biggest jumping class a rider under the age of 21 can compete in, other than a regular Grand Prix.
