2014 FTI Consulting Winter Equestrian Festival to Have Five CSI 5* Events and a Record 51 FEI Ranking Classes Over the Circuit   For Immediate Release   Wellington, FL – November 27, 2013 – Equestrian Sport Productions (ESP) and Rolex SA signed an unprecedented 10-year sponsorship agreement to make Rolex the “Official Timepiece” of the Palm Beach International Equestrian Center (PBIEC) and of the world-renowned FTI Consulting Winter Equestrian Festival (FTI WEF). The FTI WEF serves almost 6,000 horses and 2,000 riders from 50 states and over 30 countries.   The long-term partnership will facilitate a record US $1.63 million dollar increase in prize money bringing the grand total to over US $8 million dollars at the FTI WEF, making it one of the richest circuits in the world.

Madison, WI, November 27, 2013 –– When Phil Yellott and his wife, Cara, of Red Oak, Texas, decided to get a couple of donkeys to use as guard animals to protect their livestock, they had no idea that within a year, they would be recognized worldwide. They began their search, and soon came across a pair of rare American Mammoth Jackstock geldings for sale on Craigslist – two brothers, ages 7 and 9.

Important Changes to the both USEF and FEI Drugs & Medications Rules for Competition Horses Will Affect the 2014 Competition Year

  From the USEF Communications Department Prohibited Practices A new category of rules referred to as Prohibited Practices has been introduced to the USEF Rule Book which will take effect December 1, 2013. The first rule to be adopted in this category is commonly referred to as the “12 Hour Rule.” It was introduced in March of 2013 by the USEF Veterinary Committee and following extensive feedback from USEF Technical Committees, Working Groups, and from attendees at USEF Town Hall Meetings held in Florida in March, and via interactive webcast in June, the USEF Board of Directors at their mid-year meeting approved the proposal which is printed in its entirety here:   GR 414 Prohibited Practices   1
