(SPRUCE MEADOWS, Calgary, AB): Spruce Meadows hosted the second leg of competition for the North American region in the $100,000 Furusiyya FEI Nations Cup™, and it was Ireland who took home the win after they logged six clear rounds. The Irish team consisted of Conor Swail and Lansdowne, Darragh Kerins and E Muze Yek, Richie Moloney and Carrabis Z, and Cameron Hanley and Antello.

WASHINGTON (June 13, 2013)—The U.S. House Appropriations Committee has voted to block funding for inspections at prospective horse slaughter plants, which if it survives the entire legislative process, would halt any effort to resume slaughter for these animals on U.S. soil.

Summer in the Rockies Begins Week Two with Wins by Janine Weatherby in the 1.40m and Kristen VanderVeen in the 1.30m Parker, CO – June 12, 2013 - On the first day of week two of Summer in the Rockies at the ColoradoHorsePark, staff, show management and competitors got serious about helping nearby communities ravaged by wildfires. The wildfires span 8,000 acres. A major fire is concentrated in the heavily wooded Black Forest area, northeast of Colorado Springs.

Amateur Susan Griffis Edges Out Pearce for Second Place Parker, CO – June 11, 2013 - The Kathy and Brad Coors Family Grand Prix Arena was christened on the first week of the Colorado Horse Park’s Summer in the Rockies in a ceremony during the $30,000 Kathy and Brad Coors Family Grand Prix. A field of 12 horse and rider combinations accepted the challenge of Hector Loyola’s technical track, but it was Canadian John Pearce who expertly navigated the jump-off round, besting the rest with long-time partner Chianto, owned by Forest View Farm and Allison Moore .

The first was a $5,000 Friends of the Meadows 1.45m Welcome for the horses in contention to compete in tomorrow’s $100,000 Furusiyya FEI Nations Cup™. Enrique Gonzalez (MEX) and Quilebo D Tillard took the win in the speed format competition

Fifteen-year-old Lillie Keenan and Pumped Up Kicks jump to first grand prix win SAUGERTIES, NY (June 10, 2013) – Lillie Keenan and Pumped Up Kicks were pumped up just enough Sunday afternoon to win the $125,000 Purina Animal Nutrition Grand Prix, presented by Zoetis . The 15-year-old rider and Chansonette Farm, LLC’s Pumped Up Kicks closed out three weeks of spring shows at HITS-on-the-Hudson with the only double clear of the day, cracking the code to Canadian designer Danny Foster’s track. The pair started competing together at the start of the winter circuits in Florida this year and Sunday marked the first grand prix victory for both.
