Distinct Humor Tall- Available for Adoption
Wednesday, June 26 2013
by Editor
Tall, Handsome Gelding w/ a Big Personality! Humor is a 16.2h, chestnut gelding and ready for adoption in Marysville, OH! photo credit Stephanie Moon Humor is the class clown of the barn and he has a big personality so he will do anything for attention from swinging his ball around on the front of his stall to his own form of dance at his stall gate when trying to communicate his wishes to anyone who will listen. He is always entertaining and loves an audience. There is rarely a time when he doesn’t have his head over the stall gate watching everything that goes on around him because life is very interesting in the barn. Even outside he has a very active mind and will check out anything that interests him as he plays in his paddock with his turn out buddy. When it is time to work though, he knows how to take his job seriously and he seems to enjoy working. Humor is definitely athletic and has good natural balance, which he comes by honestly through good breeding. Right now he will be suitable for flatwork and may possibly be able to do some jumping in the future. Humor sold for $25,000 as a yearling and for $150,000 as a 2 year old which is not surprising considering who his sire is. Humor’s sire, Sharp Humor, was a Graded Stakes winner coming in second in the million dollar Florida Derby to Barbaro and is now the second leading sire in North America. His sire’s sire, Distorted Humor, was a Multiple Graded Stakes winner and his off spring have earned over $95 million

Bringing home a new horse is an exciting experience, but it can also be a challenging time as you get to know your new partner. There are a number of enjoyable ways you can bond with your new horse, though, so that soon the two of you are old friends. Spend Time on Foot Though riding is certainly a huge part of why we’re all in this sport, don’t underestimate the benefit of working with your horse in-hand, especially in the beginning
