Wednesday, September 26 2012

Meet our handsome 4 year old, 16hh Thoroughbred gelding “Concorde’s Flight” who is now available for adoption from the New Vocations Marysville, OH facility! Concorde’s sire Trippi has stamped his son with a pretty head, smart eye, nice body and a sweet nature his offspring are known for. All of his offspring have also been easy to ride and handle and very quick to learn a new career. Concorde is no exception to the rule. He is an uncomplicated horse to ride for an intermediate level rider and is very willing and obedient. He is a light touch in the bridle and is actually a bit on the lazy side requiring leg to go forward

New Vocations A Team Effort
Tuesday, September 25 2012
by Editor
We are frequently asked “what is the secret to your adoption success?” The answer to this question is not a short one. There is a lot that goes into New Vocations successfully adopting out over 400 retired racehorses a year. The one major factor to our success that I would like to spotlight is the teamwork that goes on daily behind the scenes. It is the passionate commitment by our team of underpaid and over worked employees and volunteers that keeps New Vocations going. New Vocations was started in 1992 by Dot Morgan when she set out to provide a safety net for horses retiring from the racetrack so they might find a home and therefore have a future.
