August, 28 th , 2013-The 2013 version of the Atlanta Summerfest Horse Show series wrapped up this past Sunday. The event again took place at beautiful Chatt Hills (Bouckaert Farms) in Fairburn, GA August8-25 th . “We were extremely pleased with this year’s show”, said show organizer JP Godard. “We were sold out again and it always a pleasure putting on an event at such an incredible facility”. The facility is an exhibitor favorite that boasts an over 8000 acre equestrian paradise filled with established pastures, lakes, and woodlands with ample room to ride all located along the Chattahoochee River. The footing and stabling are both exceptional and the schedule allots for early days so exhibitors can enjoy the nearby lake, Six Flags, or the hustle and bustle of nearby downtown Atlanta which is only minutes away. Highlights of the week included a $2,500 USHJA National Hunter Derby that took place Friday evening along with exhibitor’s party sponsored by The Atlanta Hunt Club. Alyssa Mansfield took home the blue ribbon honors in the derby on Stone Lane Farm’s Calice De Fuyssieu Z. Julie Curtain took home second through fourth place honors respectively; second place went to Jeffery Sutton’s Visible, third place to Helen Brown’s Tybee and fourth place to Mimi Washburn’s Confetti. New SHF Enterprises Inc. Young Jumper Championship Incentive Bonus

WASHINGTON – August 26, 2013 – Washington International Horse Show (WIHS) is pleased to announce a new incentive bonus sponsored by SHF Enterprises, Inc. for the rated Jumper divisions, along with the winner of the $125,000 President’s Cup Grand Prix, to honor horses that also competed in the Young Jumper Championships (YJC). Bridgehampton, NY-August 25, 2013 – Victoria Press, of New York, N.Y., rode her horse Mayfair to victory in the $50,000 Hampton Classic Hunter Derby, presented by Meadow View Farms, on the opening day of the Hampton Classic Horse Show. Press-at 14 the youngest rider in the 42-horse starting field-confidently guided Mayfair to the best score of the second round to claim the blue ribbon and the $15,000 prize with a two-round score of 178.5. Darragh Kenny urged O’Ryan (171.0) to second place and a $10,000 prize, and Molly Ashe-Crawley claimed the $7,500 third-place prize on Ennzo (170.0)

Do you find yourself pacing the horse stalls of the barn, yearning for the thrill of eventing, but are not quite sure you want to tackle the solid fences of the cross-country course? Combined driving is very similar to eventing, but allows you to tackle the obstacles from the driver’s seat instead of the saddle. Combined driving is a FEI recognized discipline and, like eventing, consists of three phases: the dressage phase, the cross-country phase, and the obstacle phase.

Lexington, KY – August 18, 2013 – A week of the nation’s best hunter derby competition came to a close today at the Bluegrass Festival Horse Show with the final hunter highlight event, the $5,000 Hallway Feeds USHJA National Hunter Derby. Today’s USHJA National Hunter Derby at the Kentucky Horse Park marked the fifth event in the seven-part Hallway Feeds USHJA National Hunter Derby Series, throughout which Meredith Darst has been extremely successful.
