Last weekend sixteen riders from eight countries came to Bear Spot Farm in Concord, MA for the Children of the Americas Dressage Invitational (CADI) to benefit the Bear Spot Foundation for Equine Facilitated Psychotherapy. Held every year, CADI gives riders age 12-14 the opportunity to represent their countries, develop their horsemanship and make new friendships. For the first two days of the event riders received training on their own or borrowed horses and then competed in a Children’s Preliminary Test and Freestyle on third and fourth days.

From despair to elation in one weekend for Halliday
Saturday, June 22 2013

Liz Halliday was again dovetailing her dual sporting careers last weekend when she competed in the Lotus Cup UK at Oulton Park before travelling south for the Catton Park Horse Trials in Derbyshire. Motorsport and equestrianism are two very different sports, a fact that was underlined by the dramatic change in Halliday’s fortunes over the three days… Friday and Saturday were spent in Cheshire where the bad luck that has characterised Liz’s Lotus motor racing campaign was once again in evidence.
