September 4 th , 2013 Aiken, SC – The exciting hunter and jumper action of the 2013 Aiken Fall Festival Horse Show is set to kick off this Thursday. The event in its 6 th year will take place at Highfields Event Center in Aiken, SC with JP Godard and his Equus Events, Inc. handling the managing duties. The show carries a USEF A rating and a jumper 3 star and will run September 5 th -8 th and 12 th -15 th . “This year’s show is our biggest to date and with two sold out events we are looking forward to two busy weeks”, said show organizer JP Godard

Riding back from the show grounds in Wellington, FL Horses are “Free Roaming Social Herbivores” Last week I was riding, or should I say “rock climbing” horses up on top of the Continental Divide in Colorado facilitating a Horsewomen’s Retreat., but for most of the year I am in Wellington, Florida watching thousands of horses navigate golf carts, trucks, trailers, landscape blowers and big rigs.

Lexington, KY – August 14, 2013 - David Blake piloted the up-and-coming young horse Park Lane to a win in the $5,000 1.40m Open Jumpers to kick off the Bluegrass Festival Horse Show’s jumper divisions. Earlier in the day, Christi Israel rode Bull Run’s Zino Platinum to first place in the 1.35m Open Jumpers. Lexington, KY – August 8, 2013 - Daisy Farish and Sassafras Creek stayed cool under pressure to turn in an impressive round over fences and secure the Regular Medium Pony Hunter Championship at the United States Equestrian Federation Pony Finals. Farish and Sassafras Creek, owned by Redfield Farm of Califon, NJ, came into the day with the lead in the division after strong finishes in the model and under saddle classes, and they staked their claim to the championship with an emphatic win in the over fences.
