With September around the corner I am reminded of two things a) the mounting pile of biology homework I am to complete and b) the approaching championship. I am still waiting for my official invitation letter from USHJA, but am hopeful that it should arrive soon

WELLINGTON, FL-August 28, 2013—Juancito Bollini and Grant Ganzi of Wellington, both following their families’ polo footsteps, will compete in the inaugural National Youth Tournament Series National Championships this weekend in Upperville, Va.The tournament culminates the U.S. Polo Association’s National Youth Tournament Series that featured 23 qualifiers held at various polo clubs across the nation where 99 All-Stars were selected. Eight All-Star players will represent each of the four zones in the two-day tournament hosted by the Virginia International Polo Club, the largest polo club in Virginia.

WASHINGTON – August 26, 2013 – Washington International Horse Show (WIHS) is pleased to announce a new incentive bonus sponsored by SHF Enterprises, Inc. for the rated Jumper divisions, along with the winner of the $125,000 President’s Cup Grand Prix, to honor horses that also competed in the Young Jumper Championships (YJC). The bonus is yet another highlight for jumper riders at the 55th annual WIHS, held October 22-27, 2013, at Verizon Center in Washington, D.C

Riding back from the show grounds in Wellington, FL Horses are “Free Roaming Social Herbivores” Last week I was riding, or should I say “rock climbing” horses up on top of the Continental Divide in Colorado facilitating a Horsewomen’s Retreat., but for most of the year I am in Wellington, Florida watching thousands of horses navigate golf carts, trucks, trailers, landscape blowers and big rigs.
