Wellington, FL, March 13, 2013- Week ten of the 2013 FTI Consulting Winter Equestrian Festival (FTI WEF), sponsored by Horseware Ireland, featured the $33,000 Spy Coast Farm 1.45 speed class on Wednesday with a win for Germany’s Johannes Ehning and Cayenne 162. Earning points on the Longines FEI world ranking list, the pair won over Alise Oken (USA) riding Kaid Du Ry and Beezie Madden (USA) aboard Mademoiselle, with a lightning fast round.     Week ten’s FTI WEF competition will run March 13-17 at the Palm Beach International Equestrian Center (PBIEC) featuring CSI 3* competition

Second Time’s the Charm for 12-Year-Old Grady Lyman in the $5,000 Devoucoux Hunter Prix

THERMAL, CA (March 4, 2013) – Grady Lyman of Rancho Santa Fe, California won Sunday’s $5,000 Devoucoux Hunter Prix riding Penelope Murray’s Flirt, rising to the top of a class of 52 contenders. The youngster created something of a sensation when she placed second, behind Sonoma Valley Stables’ Hope Glynn, in the first $5,000 Devoucoux Hunter Prix of the 2013 HITS Desert Circuit on January 27.

Halliday claims emotional CIC* victory in Barroca

Liz Halliday made the perfect start to her international 3-Day Eventing season at Barroca d’Alva in Portugal last weekend by winning the CIC* International with Blackie (Fernhill By Night).   The event was marred by sadness however when experienced fellow rider Bruno Bouvier suffered a fatal accident when his horse had a rotational fall during Saturday’s CIC** Cross Country. Liz had known and competed against Bruno for many years and the following day dedicated her victory to a respected and much-loved member of the international eventing community.
