Laura Renwick speeds away with the spoils on Ladies’ Day
Sunday, August 04 2013

Britain’s number one female rider Laura Renwick raced to victory today in the Sky Sports Speed Classic, finishing more than 2sec clear of her nearest rival. Her mare Beluga swept round Kelvin Bywater’s 1.45m course, and though last-drawn Guy Williams looked to be fast, he wasn’t quick enough and had to settle for second place with Bijou van de Vijfheide. Rather aptly for Ladies’ Day, all of the top four horses in this class were mares.

Lexington, KY – July 31, 2013 - Although there were grey skies in the area for the second day of the Kentucky Summer Classic, the weather did not dampen the competition in the Rolex Stadium. Both the 1.40m and 1.35m Open Jumper classes were determined by just fractions of a second. As the last in the class, Aaron Vale had the draw on his side as he bested Juan Pablo Gaspar and Shamrock with H&M Cisco in the 1.40m Open Jumpers. In the 1.35m Open Jumpers, Geoffrey Case and Veneziano-C tried to catch Guillermo Williams and Marbella’s speedy time, but were just hundredths of a second short.

Georgia proving that we can all make a difference! By Dani Moritz As a young equestrian myself, I love to see young riders doing great things in their communities. All too often we convince ourselves we are just one person and we have limited ability to make a difference – especially because we are so young. But, we can make a difference! Georgia Griffis, from Colorado, is a great example! Check out her story from Go Ahead PR & Communications to learn how she helped raise money for Black Forest fire victims.
