Due to popular demand the Mid-Atlantic Equitation Festival, November 16-17, 2013 will be adding a new 2’6” Pre-Children’s /Adult division on Saturday with their Finals on Sunday for riders that have shown in Zones 2 & 3. Another new addition is a $100 cash award for the high scoring Thoroughbred Horse sponsored by the Jockey Club Thoroughbred Incentive Awards program

Dan James of Double Dan Horsemanship Participates in Thoroughbred Makeover

Nicholasville , KY — Dan James of Double Dan Horsemanship has been selected as one of 26 trainers from across the US to participate in the Retired Racehorse Training Project’s Thoroughbred Makeover . The makeover begins shortly and will concluded October 5-6, 2013 at Pimlico Racetrack in Baltimore, Maryland, with a symposium demonstrating the ex-racehorse’s new abilities. The Thoroughbred that James selects must have a race record and no secondary career training. “This will be a unique opportunity to demonstrate the effectiveness of our training program to the Thoroughbred community as well as the potential that Off The Track Thoroughbreds possess in secondary careers,” stated James
