By Jan Westmark-Allan Polo player Nacho Figueras in People Magazine – the same photo that Sidelines ran a month earlier!! We all love Nacho!! Sidelines Magazine has long been known as the “People” Magazine of the horse world – and now we are happy to say that People Magazine is trying to keep up with Sidelines Magazine! The November issue of Sidelines had polo player Nacho Figueras on the cover (WOW!) and a great four-page spread including a photo of Nacho in his blue polo shirt and looking, for lack of other words -MUY CALIENTE!! Check out page 56 of Sidelines and you will see Nacho sitting on a boat – ahhh, the same photo now featured in the November 26th issue of People Magazine Sexiest Man Alive issue. Channing Tatum is the Sexiest Man, but if you look at page 124 – there is Nacho Figueras in his blue polo shirt – the same photo Sidelines used a month earlier Oh, and he does look just as sexy in People as he does in Sidelines !! You go Nacho! Nacho story in the November issue of Sidelines – page 56 In the People Magazine story said he currently had a black eye from being hit with a polo mallet – and we have that photo for you! Here is Nacho and his lovely pregnant wife – and you can see the remains of Nacho’s black eye

Dover Saddlery Now Sells Sidelines Magazine! Great News!

By Jan Westmark-Allan The Dover catalogue and Sidelines Magazine in my mailbox on the same day – that’s a GOOD day! I live in a tiny town in Western North Carolina mountains. Think Mayberry and you have pictured it correctly! Our town is so small that our mail is not delivered to our houses but to a little 100-year old red former schoolhouse that is now our Post Office.

By Jan Westmark-Allan Riding through the Brazilian countryside at Interagro Lusitano. I’m headed to Boston tomorrow to visit my daughter, and while I have traveling on my mind I want to tell you about a few horsey trips that I would love to do. My daughter and I used to visit great dude ranches out west every summer – but two trips I recently heard about would require me heading south! One trip I received info on is “Destination Lusitano” – a trip to Interagro Lusitano farm in Itapira, Brazil

Oh Baby, Baby! We Want Your Cute Foal Photos!
Friday, November 02 2012

By Jan Westmark-Allan A wonderful foal photo sent in by Kristin Zabawa of Oregon. Is there anything cuter than a foal? Tiny whiskers, tiny ears – running, leaping, sleeping, playing with mommy!! I guess the only thing cuter than a real-life foal is a great photo of a foal – which is why Sidelines Magazine is holding the “Who’s Your Daddy” Foal Photo contest.

By Jan Westmark-Allan The love of a horse or pony can be a powerful thing in a young girl’s life! It’s almost difficult to put into words the importance that horses play in our lives - they are our joy, a warm shoulder to cry on, our therapy, our love, our exercise, our friend, our social outlet and our soul mates!! Imagine if you were an underprivileged young girl with a load of bad stuff in your life and someone introduced you to the great and amazing love of a horse or pony. Enter a program called Heroes N Horses – a program that helps young girls and changes their lives for the better. The Heroes N Horses program has done so much for these young ladies, but now the program itself is in trouble! Heroes N Horses has two locations – one in Ocala, Florida and another in Wellington, but they might have to close down if they can’t raise funds
