Jake – Sidelines Dog of the Day

Thursday, December 20 2012 by Editor
Jake was found abandoned at his home by a good neighbor when his owner was put into a nursing home.  He was clearly well cared for during his tenure with his previous owner.  Friends nearby took care of feeding the dog before he was surrendered to BDRR.  Jake is a bit shy when first meeting new people, but warms up quickly and is a very sweet boy. I am looking for that special someone to adopt me and give me a forever home. If you are interested or have questions about me, please contact Big Dog Ranch: adoptions@bdrr.org or 561-309-3311

Dog of the Day – Frank

Tuesday, December 18 2012 by Editor
Hello everyone, my name is Frank. I am a 2 year old, male boxer mix. I was found wandering the streets of Miami and some wonderful ladies took me in, fed me, got me some medicine to make me all healthy again!  I am a big love, goof ball and did I mention, a great snuggler! I am potty trained, crate trained and get along well with other dogs

Win A Chance To Show at The Winter Equestrian Festival

Friday, December 14 2012 by Editor
By Jan Westmark-Allan You could win a chance to compete at FTI WEF – just like Lillie Keenan pictured here! Sidelines has a great time hosting contests and giving out fantastic prizes to equestrians all across the country. It’s fun for us to see how excited everyone is to enter – and of course we love the reaction of the contestants who win. Well hold on to your helmets, because Sidelines is about to offer the “Contest Of A Lifetime!” (I had to capitalize every word – the prize is that Big!) If you have ever dreamed of competing at the FTI Consulting Winter Equestrian Festival (FTI WEF) in Wellington, Florida – the winter show capital of the horse world – then your dream could become a reality

A Success Story!! I Found A Saddle Pad That DOES NOT Slip!

Friday, December 07 2012 by Editor
By Jan Westmark-Allan My Success Equestrian pad – it never, ever slips!! I love a good success story!! And I especially love when that success happens to me! As the editor of Sidelines Magazine, I am often asked to “test” products. I, of course, don’t mind at all! When I heard that Success Equestrian Saddle Pads (www.successequestrian.com) was going to send me a saddle pad that doesn’t slip, my first reaction was “Great, because I already have plenty of saddle pads that do slip.” As the keeper of the Sidelines equine mascot (Spirit, my trusty steed) – we have an assortment of slippery pads.  I was glad someone was going to send me a non-slip pad.
