Two weeks ago I left the rolling green hills of Pennsylvania and flew to the flat brown mesas of New Mexico to join up with Caza Ladron, a hunt organized out of Santa Fe and Albuquerque, New Mexico. Caza Ladron is a recognized hunt with the Masters of Foxhounds Association, one of some 165 hunts in the United States, so you might think they might be stuffy, but one of the Joint Masters told me before I even sent in my check that this is a hunt that “has fun”.

Dear Supporters, It was 4:45 pm last Friday when we received a call. A kill facility had a 5 year old maltese that was set to be euthanized in the morning. At first we couldn’t believe why such a desirable breed wasn’t given any time to get adopted and then we found out

By Jan Westmark-Allan A wonderful foal photo sent in by Kristin Zabawa of Oregon. Is there anything cuter than a foal? Tiny whiskers, tiny ears – running, leaping, sleeping, playing with mommy!! I guess the only thing cuter than a real-life foal is a great photo of a foal – which is why Sidelines Magazine is holding the “Who’s Your Daddy” Foal Photo contest.
