While checking out grand prix show-jumper Saer Coulter’s Facebook page the other day, I saw a post she shared about a contest being held by one of her prestigious sponsors, Horseware Ireland. Their “Grassroots Rider” competition is looking for a dedicated, amateur horse and rider duo to add to the Horseware Team, which includes some of the world’s most elite equestrians. The winner will receive a one year sponsorship deal that includes €10,000 and personalized Horseware Ireland gear for you and your horse to sport around the show grounds.

Boyd Martin’s newest mount made a debut, of sorts, yesterday in the Open Intermediate Division at Pine Top Farm in Thomson, Georgia. He may come in a Plain Brown Wrapper but that label is anything but descriptive of what you will see. The horse has that “It Factor”, charisma. You WILL remember this horse when he goes by. Already spectators are calling him by the most obvious nickname, you guessed it: ShamWOW!
