Chromospere – A Heart of Gold!
Tuesday, October 23 2012
by Editor
Meet “Chromospere” a 6 year old, 15.3 1/2hh Thoroughbred gelding now available for adoption from our Marysville, Ohio facility! Chrome is an absolutely adorable gelding that will just melt your heart with his personality and his story of how he came to be with us. He is one of the unfortunate horses that were headed to auction and it took a village of people to rescue Chrome and 5 others from an undetermined fate. From the initial person who made phone calls to help the horses, to another party who put up the money for him, the foster home who gave him some needed down time and groceries, and then to our facility, he has had a long journey. Now is your chance to be the last stop in a long line of people trying to make a happy ending for this deserving horse. When watching his video you can see that he has a good, quiet work ethic. When the rider is quiet and steady with light contact, he begins to match his rider and settles into a quiet and steady rhythm of his own at both the trot and canter. The longer he works, the more relaxed he becomes and there will be more movement there once he is fit. He grew up at the upper level tracks so he knows how to work. Chrome does well with light contact and naturally wants to give to the bit.

Bank Me – One OTTB You Really Can Bank On!

One thing you can bank on is that this solid chap has many stories to tell if only he could talk. He last raced back in 2004 and somehow found himself in the New Holland sale bound for slaughter.
