One of only a few Equine Behavioral Ecologists globally, Mary Ann Simonds has been educating trainers, veterinarians, and other equestrians for over 35 years. > From sport horse breeders and Grand Prix riders to veterinarians and Olympians such as Bonaparte and Heike Kemmer, Mary Ann has influenced a number of well-known trainers today. Growing up showing jumpers in California she earned her degrees in wildlife biology and range management studying the social ecology of wild horses as well as their natural diets at the University of Wyoming.

DALTON, OHIO (July 10, 2013) – Equine Science Society (ESS) recently honored Patricia Harris, Ph.D., director of science, Mars Horsecare, for her work as a scientist and equine nutrition specialist. Harris was presented with the Equine Nutrition Research Award, sponsored by the American Feed Industry Association (AFIA), during an annual ESS meeting in New Mexico in May. She is the first non-American to receive the prestigious award.

Big Morning for Three Royal Cheers Three Royal Cheers was the was the most regal of ponies in Pony Breeding Classes in the Gold Ring this morning. The filly, owed by Denise Hankinson of Vixen Run Farm, Kennett Square, PA took home a blue for 2 Year Old Hunter – Filly as well as the tri-color for Hunter Pony Champion – Filly and Best Young Pony. Handler Emily Anne Belin received the Leading Pony Handler Award
