Antioch, IL – August 30, 201 3 – The 2013 Chicago Hunter Derby presented by Chicago Equestrian’s for a Cause will be featured in several TV segments this next week to increase exposure for the event to be held on September 7 th and 8 th in Antioch at Rush and Carl Weeden’s Annali Farm. On Tuesday, September 3 rd , Chicago’s own, WGN Mid Day News will feature an equestrian fashion segment during the 11:00am news show.

August, 28 th , 2013-The 2013 version of the Atlanta Summerfest Horse Show series wrapped up this past Sunday. The event again took place at beautiful Chatt Hills (Bouckaert Farms) in Fairburn, GA August8-25 th . “We were extremely pleased with this year’s show”, said show organizer JP Godard. “We were sold out again and it always a pleasure putting on an event at such an incredible facility”. The facility is an exhibitor favorite that boasts an over 8000 acre equestrian paradise filled with established pastures, lakes, and woodlands with ample room to ride all located along the Chattahoochee River. The footing and stabling are both exceptional and the schedule allots for early days so exhibitors can enjoy the nearby lake, Six Flags, or the hustle and bustle of nearby downtown Atlanta which is only minutes away. Highlights of the week included a $2,500 USHJA National Hunter Derby that took place Friday evening along with exhibitor’s party sponsored by The Atlanta Hunt Club. Alyssa Mansfield took home the blue ribbon honors in the derby on Stone Lane Farm’s Calice De Fuyssieu Z. Julie Curtain took home second through fourth place honors respectively; second place went to Jeffery Sutton’s Visible, third place to Helen Brown’s Tybee and fourth place to Mimi Washburn’s Confetti. New SHF Enterprises Inc. Young Jumper Championship Incentive Bonus

Chester Weber (USA) came out on top at the Driving test event for the Alltech FEI World Equestrian Games™ 2014 in Normandy, the third of the FEI disciplines to be tested this month. The American driver, who made a strong start with an impressive Dressage mark of 34.63 points, finished the three days on 108.24, over 17 points clear of runner-up Ludwig Weinmayr of Germany (125.54)

Bridgehampton, NY-August 25, 2013 – Victoria Press, of New York, N.Y., rode her horse Mayfair to victory in the $50,000 Hampton Classic Hunter Derby, presented by Meadow View Farms, on the opening day of the Hampton Classic Horse Show. Press-at 14 the youngest rider in the 42-horse starting field-confidently guided Mayfair to the best score of the second round to claim the blue ribbon and the $15,000 prize with a two-round score of 178.5. Darragh Kenny urged O’Ryan (171.0) to second place and a $10,000 prize, and Molly Ashe-Crawley claimed the $7,500 third-place prize on Ennzo (170.0)
