ASPCA Maclay Regionals Features Top Young Juniors Riders Across the Country

Lexington, KY – Sepetmber 20, 2013 – It was an exciting weekend for the top equitation riders as they competed in numerous ASPCA Maclay Regionals to vie for a spot in the coveted Finals at the Alltech National Horse Show. The competition was stiff as the top junior riders went head-to-head in a battle of the best and the chance to take it all. In Region 2 the winning honors went to Michael Hughes, while Hunter Holloway took the Region 5 title. Kelli Cruciotti was presented with the Region 6 Championship, while Haley Stradling piloted her mount to the Region 7 top honors.

Wellington Barnes and Noble Goes Big Over Small Equines This Saturday

Wellington, FL (September 19, 2013) – Families and horse lovers, mark your calendars now for 11:00 a.m. this Saturday, September 21, when Wellington’s Barnes and Noble Booksellers at 10500 West Forest Hill Boulevard goes big over small equines with an appearance by American Miniature Horse Registry (AMHR) hooved ambassadors and namesakes, ‘Barnes’ and ‘Noble.’ The two ‘Minis’ are brothers as identical as bookends, and will be part of a family-friendly morning festival celebrating The Big Book of Small Equines, co-authored by Florida horsewomen and equine publishing professionals Johnny Robb (JRPR, Inc.) and Jan Westmark (Sidelinesmagazine). Mini horse enthusiasts will also have the chance to purchase The Big Book of Small Equines and have it signed by either Johnny Robb or the ponies, who will ‘sign’ their names with paintbrushes.

North Salem, NY – September 11, 2013 – The 2013 American Gold Cup CSI4*-W returned to the picturesque Old Salem Farm today to kick-off the week-long international jumping competition featuring the world’s top athletes. Thanks to phenomenal reviews from 2012, a large number of entries created a section split for the day’s main event on the Grand Prix Field: the $8,000 Danbury Porsche Audi 1.40m Open Jumper class. During the first section, it was Ireland’s Shane Sweetnam and Solerina who bested Todd Minikus and Uraguay by three seconds at the end of the class with a quick and clear jump-off.
