Does the Perfect Paint Sit on Command? (Apparently So!)
Thursday, October 04 2012
by Editor
By Jan Westmark-Allan Sit Spirit Sit. Good boy! My search for the Perfect Paint included a long list of details (I am a good shopper and like to make lists!!) but never once on the list did I write: horse must sit on command!! Now that I think of it, however, it is a pretty cool item to have on a “wish” list – and lucky for me my wish is about to come true! As it turns out, I didn’t have to look far to find the Perfect Paint. Samantha Charles, the publisher of Sidelines Magazine, just so happened to have owned a Perfect Paint at one time and put in a call to the people she sold him to.

Riding In Style at the Biltmore Estate (I Rode the White Horse!)
Wednesday, October 03 2012

By Jan Westmark-Allan I rode the white horse at the Biltmore Estate today – looking pretty snazzy! Today I rode in style!! Yes, I rode a white horse around the Biltmore Estate in Asheville, North Carolina.(ok not the one in the photo above). The perfect ride! (Which reminds me that I will tell you about the Perfect Paint soon – but first we talk about riding with the Vanderbilts!) I rode a horse named Hunter, a grey Arabian owned by a friend of mine. I rode with Brenda and Phoenix – Brenda knows the miles and miles of trails at the Biltmore like the back of her hand (hoof, in Phoenix’s case)
