Snacks is a 16.5 hh, Bay gelding. He is available for adoption in Marysville, OH for a $700 fee. Snacks may not have inherited the talent for racing, finishing in the middle of the pack in each race, but what he did inherit is the good disposition and good brain Dixieland Band tends to throw

Preparations Already Underway for 2014 Show and 100-Year Club Anniversary Darien, CT—July 16, 2013— The Ox Ridge Hunt Club (ORHC) is happy to announce the completion of the 83rd annual Charity Horse Show, which attracted over 5,000 riders, trainers, spectators and sponsors from across the region. Parker, CO- July 13, 2013 - Brazilian course designer Anderson Lima built what appeared to be a straightforward course for the $40,000 Holiday Inn of Parker Grand Prix for Summer in the Rockies V, considered the peak week of the summer series at the Colorado Horse Park. But the course was tougher than appearances let on.

Tweseldown victory follows impressive round at Barbury International

A solid CIC*** performance from a Chailey Stud veteran, followed by victory at Tweseldown, characterised a busy few days of eventing for Liz Halliday last weekend. The professional dual sportswoman began her weekend by contesting the Barbury International Horse Trials in Wiltshire where two of her horses – Fox (Red Letter Day II) and Blackie (Fernhill by Night) – were competing. Fox and Liz have formed a strong partnership and close personal bond during their near-decade together and rolled back the years to record a very pleasing result in a hotly contested CIC*** section. Dressage has never been Fox’s strongest discipline but a tidy test gave cause for optimism heading into the Show Jumping arena. Unfortunately three rails down would leave the pair towards the tail of the field. But Barbury’s monster Cross Country course and the sweltering temperatures ensured that a stern final round remained

Jackie McConnell Pleads Guilty to Animal Cruelty Charges

The Humane Society of the United States continues to care for horses seized following undercover investigation (July 9, 2013)—Former Hall of Fame Tennessee walking horse trainer Jackie McConnell and two associates have entered guilty pleas to charges of abusing horses in violation of the Tennessee cruelty to animals statute. McConnell pleaded guilty to 22 counts of animal cruelty, and in order to avoid jail time, agreed to a sentence of one year of house arrest followed by four years of supervised probation, a $25,000 fine, and he is prohibited from owning and training horses for 20 years
