February 12, 2014 –The Dressage Foundation is pleased to announce that two Carol Lavell Advanced Dressage Prizes, in the amount of $25,000 each, have been awarded to U.S. High Performance riders. Brian Hafner (CA) and Kathleen Raine (CA) were selected because they display the characteristics and qualities of being talented, committed, qualified riders whose plans are to reach and excel at the elite, international standards of high performance dressage.

Prestigious Pin Oak Charity Horse Show Reports Record Donation of $200,000 in 2013 to Designated Children’s Charities

HOUSTON, Texas (July 31, 2013) – Steeped in tradition and rich in history, the Pin Oak Charity Horse Show has lived its mission of helping children since 1945. The 68 th Pin Oak Charity Horse Show presented by Irish Day Farm was held during the last two weeks of March in 2013 and has yielded a record donation of $200,000 for its designated charities. Beneficiaries are Texas Children’s Hospital, Houston’s Ronald McDonald House Family Rooms, and Candlelighters Childhood Cancer Family Alliance.

Zionsville, IL – August 11, 2013 - The Traders Point Hunt Charity Show grounds were a buzz with activity anticipating the $15,000 USHJA International Hunter Derby held in the Grand Prix field of the gorgeous Wild Acres Farm. The horse show did not disappoint spectators with activities for the whole family including pony rides, bouncy houses, shopping and plenty of food.

Jordan MacPherson Claims $35,000 CSI2* RAM Equestrian Grand Prix at Caledon Equestrian Park

Palgrave, Ontario – It was a case of the student beating the teacher as Jordan MacPherson of Toronto, ON, beat out Ian Millar to win the $35,000 CSI2* Ram Equestrian Grand Prix held August 3 during the CSI2* Summer Festival at the Caledon Equestrian Park in Palgrave, ON. The Caledon Equestrian Park will host the equestrian events for the 2015 Pan American Games. Jordan MacPherson of Toronto, ON, rode Piccobello du Val de Geer to victory in the $35,000 CSI2* ShootPhoto.ca photo Five riders were able to pass the test set by two-time Olympic course designer Leopoldo Palacios of Venezuela, successfully negotiating the first round track to advance to the all-deciding jump-off. Laura Renwick speeds away with the spoils on Ladies’ Day

Britain’s number one female rider Laura Renwick raced to victory today in the Sky Sports Speed Classic, finishing more than 2sec clear of her nearest rival. Her mare Beluga swept round Kelvin Bywater’s 1.45m course, and though last-drawn Guy Williams looked to be fast, he wasn’t quick enough and had to settle for second place with Bijou van de Vijfheide. Rather aptly for Ladies’ Day, all of the top four horses in this class were mares.
