Concorde’s Flight – Available for Adoption!

Wednesday, September 26 2012 by Editor
Meet our handsome 4 year old, 16hh Thoroughbred gelding “Concorde’s Flight” who is now available for adoption from the New Vocations Marysville, OH facility!     Concorde’s sire Trippi has stamped his son with a pretty head, smart eye, nice body and a sweet nature his offspring are known for. All of his offspring have also been easy to ride and handle and very quick to learn a new career.  Concorde is no exception to the rule. He is an uncomplicated horse to ride for an intermediate level rider and is very willing and obedient.  He is a light touch in the bridle and is actually a bit on the lazy side requiring leg to go forward

The treadmill.

Wednesday, September 26 2012 by Editor
18-year-old Rocketman readies for exercise on the treadmill. I’ve had some interesting dinner conversations with my fellow professionals about extra exercise for our horses, more specifically whether to use a treadmill or a walker. The general consensus has come back in favor of the treadmill

September 13 through the 16th saw the inauguration of the Devon Fall Classic.  Parking and admission to the new event were entirely free, a pleasant surprise after I had pulled a twenty out of my wallet to enter the lot.  The event, dedicated to jumpers of all ages and education, was punctuated  on Saturday evening by a $7500 High Junior Amateur Owner and the signature event, the $25,000 Devon Fall Classic.

Warrent♥n Hunt Night Neighs & News: When The Going Gets Tough, The F♥xhunters Keep Going!

Monday, September 03 2012 by Editor
We had a great time all week at the Warrent♥n H♥rse Sh♥w! Yes, blogging is writing and requires great effort, concentration and a certain amount of discipline in order to achieve good results, but we persevered and delivered the goods every day in the way of a new post and photos. On Sunday, the finale of the Warrenton Horse Show’s Hunt Night, we have to admit: we had a blast! Cubhunting Begins Officially Sunday started early, cubhunting dragging us out of the comfort of our cozy nest in order to get to the kennels 7:30-ish. Our favorite green field hunter was going to be tried by a prospective buyer and we wanted to be there to send Picasso off with love and positive energy – never mind that our heart is about to break because we love this talented young paint.
